
Suzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, who died 19 January 2008 was an American film, television, theatre as well as voice actress. 1. Pleshette started her professional career in the theater and was first seen in films in the late 1950s and later appeared in prominent films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Then, she was in various television shows and was often a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978, in which she earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on January 31 1937. Her parents were Jewish who were descendants of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager of the Paramount Theater in Manhattan as well as the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
