tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California on February 27th the year 1976. His family was from the southern part of California, and was a student at Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both the basketball and football teams. Gonzalez excelled in both games at University of California, Berkeley. He helped lead the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. There, he set a school record for receptions with nine, and set it again. A few months later Gonzalez led the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. Gonzalez was selected to the NFL Draft in 1997. Gonzalez was selected as the 13th overall choice by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was a member of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. Then, he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez never caught less than 59 passes in Gonzalez's second NFL season.
